Opplev en fantastisk del av Italia, som i høy grad er undervurdert – Abruzzo.

Ikke langt fra Roma, litt lengre sør mot adriaterhavet. Ligger denne nydelige regionen, som kan ta pusten av de fleste. Vinmarker og oliventrær så langt øyet kan se.

Regionen har mye å tilby:

Mat, oliven olje, gjestfrihet, tradisjoner, historie, kunst, shopping etc.

I disse turene vil vi prøve å få med oss det meste, uten at det går på bekostning av komfort og opplevelsene deres. Vi har kurs på 4 eller 7 dager. Mange velger å kombinere oppholdet med noen dager i Roma.

Disse turene er spesielle, noe dyrere enn mange andre matlagningskurs i Italia, men en får så mye mer igjen. Dette er ikke bare en matlagningskurs, men en opplevelse for livet!

Turen inkluderer alt fra matkurs, sightseeing, gourmet middager, transfer, personlig oppfølging og ikke minst – venner for resten av livet?

Våre kurs her skal være eksklusive, derfor skal det ikke være mer en 8 – 10 personer pr kurs. Palasset som kurset holdes på har kun 6 rom, men har en kjent restaurant som trekker mye lokale innbyggere. Det er restaurantens kokk Dino, som skal introdusere dere for de mer avanserte retter. Mens Cheryl, vil lære dere å lage hjemmelaget pasta og de nydeligste desserter.

Massimo er ansvarlig for disse turene, og han vil møte dere på flyplassen. Han vil følge dere under hele oppholdet i sammen med sine kokker. De er alle svært stolte av sine tradisjoner og matkultur. De elsker å lære bort sine kunnskaper og skaper en uformell, underholdende atmosfære. Du vil garantert tilbake..

 

PROGRAM FOR 7 DAGER

Day 1. Arrival and Welcome Dinner

We will meet you at the airport in Rome or Pescara (preferably) and drive you in our own van across the beautiful Central Apennine mountains directly to Palazzo Tour in Carunchio, where you will be staying. In the evening you'll attend a multi-course welcome feast and we'll all get acquainted and settled in.

 

Day 2. Quick and Healthy Mediterranean Dishes, Salame plant, bakery

We'll explore the basic ingredients of traditional Abruzzo cuisine and make some of the best seasonal sauces for pasta dishes. The theme for this lunch will be Healthy Homemade Meals in 30 minutes. You'll see how delicious, easy, and healthy Mediterranean cuisine can be. We'll lunch on our tasty creations in traditional Italian style, slowly and in good company!

After our leisurely lunch, you'll rest up for the afternoon activities. We will visit a salame production plant and learn how this incredible product is made. Next we will visit an artisan bakery, where the local baker will show us the traditional way of making bread, old school.

Dinner at the Palace incl. wine.

 

Day 3. Home made Pasta Extravaganza, Agnone, cheese plant, bell foundry

Learn how much fun and utterly delicious making pasta at home can be, in a variety of colours and shapes. We'll teach you all the tricks so it turns out great every time. You will be amazed on the variety: pasta alla chitarra, gnocchi, lasagna, stuffed pasta and so on. After lunch, we'll take you down to Agnone, in the region of Molise, where you can watch real family production of mozzarella, ricotta cheeses and cacio cavallo. And then we will visit an ancient bell foundry which provides bells to the Vatican city. We will learn about the phases of the manufacturing. Dinner at the Palace incl. wine.

Day 4. Vasto, trabocco "fishing house", shopping

A trip to the Adriatic Coast in Vasto for a sunbathing, shopping, and a sightseeing tour of the coast's unique "trabocco" fishing houses. Depending on the weather and the season we will be able to experience dinner at the trabocco, an old fishing house sitting in the middle of the sea. A real special treat. Shoe shopping to a huge selection outlet store.

Day 5. Learn the Art of Preservation and Liqueurs

Learn how to preserve fruits and vegetables in the Italian way. Make fruit preserves and a variety of pickled vegetables, plus learn how to preserve using oil. Taste and discover how these ingredients are a big part of the Abruzzese cuisine. Later, we'll teach you how to make Limoncello and you'll taste a variety of liqueurs created from local ingredients. Free afternoon to walk around town and enjoy the peaceful environment . Dinner at the Palace incl. wine.

Day 6. Desserts; Visit Winery

Learn how to make mouth watering desserts and pair them with the liquors made the previous day. After lunch, we're off to a special winery where we are going enjoy private insider visits of the production facility and sample their huge variety of wines. Dinner at the Palace incl. wine

Day 7. Last minute shopping and return to the airport.

In particular beautiful days, during the summer season, one of the cooking classes can be substituted with a sailing trip off the Adriatic coast.
